The Golden Pot

The Golden Pot
Oil on Linen  11"x14"

Just a short note tonight as I post my painting - I think this one is complete now. The composition has changed a bit from the initial setup which I posted earlier. The wine cork is new and the thread and dried rose branch are gone. It was the pleasing shape of the pot inspired me to paint this. I hope you enjoy the it!

Here is the same painting I posted as a WIP (work in progress):

  3. Wow - what a beautiful piece here Shelley. A lovely composition, but the colors you've chosen really float my boat. You are definitely on a roll in your new space.

  4. Thanks Gary! I worked hard to apint the colours that I see. Lighting is such a big factor. The painting looks different under different light. In some it is too dark, in others just right.

  5. I think, this is one of your best oil paintings (although come to think of it, it is really hard to decide which is better--they are all very beautiful). Love it, as M. Carder would say :)))

    Best,
